Courtney Davies

Courtney Davies is the photo editor for this year’s issue of Alpine Living and is a graduate student pursuing her Master’s degree in the Community Journalism program. She received her Bachelor’s degree in 2009 from the Capstone where she majored in journalism with a focus on photography. As an undergrad, she worked at The Crimson White, Corolla, and the athletic department’s photography division. In 2009, she flew with the gymnastics team to photograph their journey during Nationals. While pursuing her Bachelor’s degree, she also interned at the Tuscaloosa News as a photographer. Post graduation she freelanced for several publications including RacerX, CycleNews The Alabama Baptist, The Tuscaloosa News, Cullman Times, The Season magazine, and BamaOnline.

Courtney now runs her own photography company called Oh Crop! Photography.  She has been a photographer since she was 16 years old. Oh Crop! Photography specializes, but is not limited to, sports photography. Courtney covers motocross racing throughout Alabama and is currently the photographer for the Alabama Arenacross Series and the Alabama State Championship Series. Even though sport photography is her forte, she does shoot portraits. She has her own studio lighting that can travel. She has taken pictures of babies, wedding anniversaries, parties (both birthday and corporate), bands, bridal shows, weddings, car shows, etc.

After obtaining her Master’s degree, Courtney wants to continue her passion of covering motocross. You can contact her at or
