A junior at the University of Alabama and member of Phi Mu sorority, Lindsee Gentry is studying journalism with minors in both Spanish and liberal arts. Because of her interest in travel journalism and magazine writing, she applied for Alpine Living and was thrilled to find out the trip would allow her to practice her Spanish as well. As part of the Alpine Living team, Gentry serves as chief copyeditor, as well as a contributing writer and designer.

Gentry previously served as assistant to the editor and staff writer at Click magazine and the DeSoto-Times Tribune, both of which are located in Mississippi. Gentry has also served a contributing writer at The Crimson White, the UA student news publication. Currently, Gentry is interning at The Tuscaloosa News and plans to return to Click magazine in May to work as the intern coordinator and a staff writer.

Gentry will graduate in May 2014 with honors from UA. She hopes to begin her career with a travel magazine, which would allow her to further explore her interest in Spanish language and culture.
