Collin Curry was born in Winston-Salem, N.C. and has lived in five different states along the eastern seaboard.  He currently resides in Hoover, Ala. where he graduated from Spain Park High School in 2010. Upon stating that he was interested in the field of journalism, his father directed him towards the University of Alabama because of its strength in that area.  He is currently a junior with a double major in journalism and geography, and a minor in Italian.

As Assistant Section Editor for the Outdoor Life section of the Alpine Living, Collin looks forward to writing and reporting about Spain’s unique Mountain ranges and landscapes.  Growing up around the Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia, Collin is an avid outdoorsman and hiker.  He has hiked in the Sierra Nevadas, the Santa Monica Mountains, the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Smokies, the Appalachians, and he looks forward to adding Spain’s Pyrenees Mountains to that list.

Also a fervent soccer fan, when the chance came to travel to Spain, Collin jumped on it.  Home to arguably the 2 best club teams in the world, in F.C. Barcelona and Real Madrid, as well as the defending World Cup and 2 time defending European Champions, Spain is a soccer fan’s dream.  Collin is excited to delve into the culture and history of the Sport in the country.

When he earns his degree, Collin wants to write for an adventure or travel magazine that will take him to all corners of the planet.  Collin enjoys reading, writing, rock climbing, and supporting the London based soccer team Chelsea F.C.
