A junior from Thomasville, Ga., Anna Price Olson is a student in the University Honors Program, majoring in English and journalism. She has served two years as a writer for Mosaic Magazine, a publication produced by UA’s Honors College, and interned with Atlanta Magazine, working in the custom media department as the editorial intern for Atlanta Weddings last summer.

In addition to her work with magazines, Anna Price has gained experience as a contributing writer for Th Crimson White, and as vice president of public relations for her sorority. In that role, she produced a 32-page color magazine, The Katydid, for the chapter’s 2,000 alumnae, in effect working as the sole writer, photographer, editor and publisher.

Anna Price works with Child Abuse Prevention Services, Crossing Points and Girl Scouts of the USA to organize events and fundraisers as vice president of community service for her sorority, Kappa Delta. She also helps younger students as a journalism mentor and represents the junior class on the Academic Board. She was recently selected as Kappa Delta’s Most Outstanding Junior.

Last year, Anna Price received the 2011-2012 Journalism Academic Achievement Award for Juniors, an award given to the top junior in the journalism department. She has been named to the President’s List each semester and is a member of Kappa Tau Alpha and Cardinal Key honor societies.
